How To Get Your Polish Relatives Kazakhstan Records
Overview
For the most part getting records for Kazakhstan follows the same principles as getting those for Siberia. This page though will focus on specifics for Kazakhstan. At this stage there is very little info to put here but as more becomes known it will be added.
Pawlodar (Also Called Pawladarska or Pavlodar)
Some of my own family ended up in Pawladarska so the details on this were not in the public domain until I started researching it.
Below are some relevant links, do not worry about the warnings of the links being unsafe, they are perfectly safe.
Link 1 (This page discusses the digitised records of Pawladar)
At "Muzeum Historyczne W Bialystoku" in Bialystok, Poland a lady called Lucyna Lesisz is trustee of the "Book Of Pawlodar". This book is a register of many (all?) of the deportees to Pawlodar or Pawladarska in kazakhstan. I understand that it was handed to the museum by a lady who was deported there and was the trustee of the book at the camp.
Upon release from the camp in Pawladarska, this Polish captive kept the book realising it's importance, and held onto it over the years. Just prior to her recent death it was entrusted to the museum in Bialystok.

What Does The "Book Of Pawladar (Pavlodar)" Look Like?
It's a great privilege to have uncovered this book, particularly as it is not well known about (despite the museums webpage). It was with excitement that I opened my email from them and saw an extract of my own relatives records:

At this stage little info is available on the other camps in Kazakhstan, but as this info comes to me I will place it on this page.
